Our History
Community EMS was incorporated as a 501(c)(3) in the State of Texas in 1979 and has since proudly served the citizens of Hondo and Medina County with emergency medical care and ambulance transportation. The company was created by the passionate efforts of countless volunteers, local businesses, government leaders, and citizens. We are proud of our history and honor that legacy with our “patient first” approach.
Mission Statement
The mission of Community EMS, Inc. is to positively impact the health and wellbeing of the citizens of South Texas by providing exceptional out-of-hospital medical care, expedient transportation to the sick and injured, empathetic support for those with unique health challenges, and exhaustive education to healthcare providers and the public.
What We Do
We are proud to be a part of the community in Medina County; providing Community Outreach and Education, 911 response, Critical Care Transportation, non-emergency transportation, event support, and inter-agency support to all of our neighbors. We are also happy to respond to any need within the region, and can generally do so within 60 minutes.
